Peter Henry is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor member of Keiretsu Forum and Stanford Angels. He has founded or co-launched startups in financial services, social applications, location-based services, personal security and other arenas. He has been a strategic advisor to several Fortune-1000 firms, mentored dozens of startup entrepreneurs in the SF Bay and New York areas, and advised investors on portfolio turnaround approaches.
As a technologist, he defined, architected and developed groundbreaking systems ranging from the world’s largest document imaging system, to high-volume new business and customer management systems, institutional portfolio management platforms, and the insurance industry’s first Internet e-commerce platform. Since 2001, Peter has operated as an “ICVC”, bringing both Intellectual Capital (strategic advice, founder mentoring, operational executive strength) and Venture Capital (angel investments, fund-raising, M&A advisory) to startups in diverse markets.
Assim has a background in eCommerce, SaaS, mobile and ERP/CRM space. In last 20 years Assim has played several roles ranging from a software engineer to a product manager to the CEO of start-ups. He specializes in taking an idea from "a gleam in the eye" to the "hands of the consumer". He has worked on product strategy, architecture, development, deployment and global operations.
Assim not only brings a strategic vision along with deep technical expertise, he also adds managerial depth to the team. He has created wide spectrum technical teams from scratch and has led/ directed several complex projects as a people manager and a program manager for companies like Oracle and VMware. He has worked extensively in distributed software development scenarios and has been recognized for his expertise in lean software development.
